Meeting with the state ministries and local authorities

The meeting started with introduction and has officially opened SOSWENSA chairperson Mr Abdukair sheek Ali Barake, he first thank for  the ministry of youth and sports and started updating the  minister starting from beginning of the election event in 25 September 2017 up to date and suggest soswensa chairperson a number of achieved activities including:

• Meeting with the state ministries and local authorities including Ministry of Interior affairs, Minister for Planning and International Cooperation, Minister for Education, Minister for Youth and Sports, Minister of Constitutional Affairs and Reconciliation, Minister for Labour and labourers, Minister of Justice, Minister for Health and Minister for Women and Human rights to improve communication and information sharing to minimize human right violations and other civilian casualties.
• Creating website for SOSWENSA.
• Nomination of the ethics committee and Human Right.
• Meeting with SSF and EU for political affairs.
• Attended constitutional review meeting on late of December2017 in Mogadishu.
• Attended consultative meetings on the election of 2020 in Horyal Hotel Baidoa.
• Attending Kismayo meeting for Regional Non-State Actors of Somalia such as; Galmudug Civil Society (GANSA), Hir-Shabeel Civil Society (HINSAA), Somali South West Civil Society ( SOSWENSA) and Jubaland Civil Society (JUNSA) Non-State Actors to address the challenges facing civil society organizations working in Somalia.

On the other hand the chairperson suggested very important points to progress coordination between the ministry and soswensa and also we want to inform you that Somali Southwest non state actors is now planning to Host Delegates from Regional Non-State Actors of Somalia such as; Galmudug Civil Society (GANSA), Hir-Shabeel Civil Society (HINSAA), Jubaland Civil Society (JUNSA) and Banadir civil society for consultative meeting on 11 march 2018 in Baidoa so soswensa wants support from CRD to reach the main objective of hosting delegates

.

The minister of Youth and sports have taken the speech and said thanks a lot and indicate the meeting very important for him and talk about the past three years activities did by the ministry including of formation of two youth state forums, Capacity building, youth integrations, leadership training,  and reconciliations and now planning to start a new project for capacity building and integrations
