The Southwest Non-state Actors (SOSWENSA) is an Umbrella Networking based in the Southern Somalia and has an operational Office in Mogadishu.
SOSWENSA is one For Regional Non-state Actors (NSA) Platforms which comprise the Statewide. Southwest Non-state Actors (SOSWENSA) is governed by a 17 members Board of Directors drawn from the 3 Regions of Southwest Somalia on a per capital basis.
The Platform was founded and established by a group of Somali intellectuals and professionals within the country on 25th June 2017 to Co-ordinate efforts, Arrange and Implement ways to alleviate the poverty, backwardness and displacement of the Somali localities seriously affected by the constant prolonged civil war and conflicts in Somali.
SOSWENSA emphasize its role in sensitizing and mobilizing civil society actors around development issues and providing an autonomous platform for discussions on development topics.
It is through these roles that it might potentially help members to build coalitions and partnerships across the different groupings. Donors and development Agencies see SOSWENSA value-added in capacity to help them navigate the complex non-state actor scene and find implementing partners for development projects.
